On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the SPIE Advanced Biophotonics Conference 2025 (SPIE ABC 2025), to be held 29 October – 1 November 2025 at Sono Bell Jeju, located on the pristine shores of Hamdeok Beach, one of Jeju Island’s most scenic and iconic destinations.

SPIE ABC 2025 serves as a premier international forum for the biophotonics community, bringing together more than 250 leading scientists, engineers, and clinicians from around the world. The conference covers a broad spectrum of topics—from molecular-level optical techniques to tissue and organ imaging, biophotonic instrumentation, and advanced optical biosensors—reflecting the rapidly growing and interdisciplinary nature of the field.

The technical program will feature invited presentations from world-renowned experts, contributed oral and poster sessions, and ample opportunities for in-depth discussion and collaboration. In addition to the scientific sessions, participants will enjoy social events and local excursions designed to foster networking and showcase the cultural richness of Jeju Island.
